Travelling on a busy day

Could you be flexible? If you do have any flexibility you will probably find that there will be more availability, and so lower prices, available if you can travel a few days either side of this date. We do know that sometimes that’s not possible, so here are some things to note if you need to travel on a busy day:

1. Vehicle now over 6 foot or taking roofbox or bikes on top?

If you didn't indicate this at the time of booking you must call our Contact Centre on +44 (0) 3457 35 35 35 to check whether we're able to allocate the correct space on your reserved crossing.

2. Passport and documentation

Whilst we work closely with the Border Authorities in the UK and France, we are not responsible for their controls and checks. For a speedy and smooth flow: Have all passports/ID cards to hand, removed from wallets and open at photo page from check-in until you are onboard the train.

3. Arrival and check-in times

Plan to check-in at least 1 hour and no more than 2 hours before your booked departure time. If it's a busy day, it's unlikely we'll be able to accommodate you on an earlier or later depature.

4. Travel Hangers

Display your travel hanger at all times, from check-in to disembarkation at your destination.
